Vulnerability is needed every time we draw on courage. Brené Brown describes this in her books and talks. Empathy, trust, innovation, creativity, inclusivity, equity, hard conversations, feedback, problem solving and ethical decision making all require courage and therefore vulnerability.

In order to enable this we need a space to reflect. This reflective space must be safe to enable our clinical armour to be lifted for a while. We cannot do this …
